You raise a number of interesting questions about the use of the name 'Allah.' I know many that use the word 'Allah'in translation (but it is not in Malaysia). Actually, the Arabic word 'Allah' is similar to the Hebrew word for "Almighty God" as introduced to Abraham. It seems that in the Bible, God is revealed with different names. Idol worshippers polluted Elohim, God's Name in Genesis 1:1, so God revealed Himself to Abraham as 'Almighty God' and when Moses asked, 'Who shall I tell the people has sent me? What is His NAME," God revealed a new name for Himself--YHWH, 'self-existent' one. While it may okay to use 'Allah' to introduce God, the goal should be to introduce YHWH, the "I AM."
